Energy and natural environment

A time has come to reflect on the civilization blessed with the convenient fossil fuels for these 100 years. Bad effects caused by excessive carbon dioxide(CO2), dioxin and endocrine disturbing chemicals(enviromental hormone), etc., not existed 100 years. before, have now been destroying our global environment seriously and affecting badly the human bodies. We, human race are now facing the phase to weigh the convenient civilization against serious environmental problems as a counterweight of a pair of scales. We should be fully aware of that now is the time to do utmost for the development and spreading of any new practical energy source even by commiting every fund, brains and labor to the matter.

For the preservation of the global environment, we must change the present life and economy greatly depending on the fossil energy source．As a possible new energy source, biomass has lately attracted considerable attention. Biomass resources are being reproduced and spreading in the agricultural and forestry districts every year, but almost all the resources are sleeping without being utilized. In spite of difficulty of applying biomass in a new energy, we trust that Stirling Engine firing biomass will be the first step to the success.
